ReplyDeleteYes. In the analogue age, photography used to be very simple. Of course you need to waste a lot of film and paper before you can develop the skills. In the digital age, you actually reduce the wastage on film and paper. On the other hand, camera manufacturers create a lot of hypes on DSLR cameras to mislead consumers into thinking that nice photographs can only be produced by DSLR. I am not sure how many people buy their DSLRs, use them once and keep them in cabinet. The bottom line is there always should be a balancing acts on how well we utilize our world resources and still be able to sustain the growth of our economy.

ReplyDeleteThe average camera today cost 150% more than an average cam during my learning days... And not to mention that I have to change it after 3~4 years before it fails me on a job.
